PLOTTER USA team is excited to meet fellow PLOTTER users in Los Angeles in two weeks! This spring, we are holding pop-up events at California Pen Show 2024 from 2/16 – 18, and at FLAX Pen to Paper on 2/19. At these events, we would like to share the stories behind the tools we design for creators as well as learn from the variety of users on how they utilize PLOTTER.
At this event, we are bringing the entire line-up of leather binders that PLOTTER USA offers, for browsing and purchase. We also invited PLOTTER Japan to join us and bring experiential events such as building your unique PLOTTER Leather Binders and adorning them with hardware customizations.

Event Limited Refill Memo Pad – Letterpress Printing
Letterpress Printing Refill Memo Pad is a special event limited item only available during pen shows and pop-ups.
Made with “MD Paper Cotton”, these refill pages have unique 6mm ruled lines, each page meticulously pressed with a letterpress machine. They serve as a subtle and tactile guide when writing with your favorite writing tools. Enjoy the special texture of each line imprint when you write on this paper. This special refill is available for A5 and Bible size.
Limited Edition Notepads with Foil Stamping – California MAP
The Notepad is a part of the core lineup of PLOTTER analog tools – a fine-quality notepad with removable pre-punched pages for PLOTTER leather binders in A5 Size. It also comes with a firm hardcover that allows you to carry it around with ease and store it upright like a notebook. The edges are gilded with copper foiling to recreate the traditional looks of old archives.
For our special pop-up in California, we take inspiration from the geographical map of the state of California. The coordinates point to the starting point of PLOTTER USA, and our vision to reach more people who are interested in using PLOTTER in their creative journey. The elegant foil stamping adds depth to the subdued look of the black cover. These special Notepads with the map motif will be available in the Chart Grid and Croquis layout in A5 Size. Each layout has a corresponding foil stamping color of silver foil (Chart Grid), and copper foil (Croquis).
The Chart Grid Layout Notepads are made with high-quality MD paper, which provides a smooth and enjoyable writing experience for any writing instrument.
Croquis is made with special drawing paper by Maruman – it has a slightly rough texture that is perfect for drawing and sketching. You can enjoy the tactile writing experience with different pens and tools.
Event Limited Accessory Refill – Leather Card Case Brown (Mini 5 Size)
The Leather Card Case in Mini 5 Size is a convenient card-size case made with Bridle leather which is also one of the iconic leathers in PLOTTER’s lineup (currently available in Black and Purple). The leather is sturdy and scratch-resistant, making the card case a reliable holder of your transit cards or even credit cards for daily use. The slight flexibility of the leather makes it easy to fit more than one card or even several business cards at the same time.
At the California Pen Show, we will be bringing a limited amount of a special Brown recycled leather edition of this useful leather card case. The expression of the leather has a pebbled effect and is more pliable and flexible. We look forward to showing it to you at the pen show!
Event Limited Free Gift – Shiranami Leather Pen Sheath
In addition, those who make a purchase of $300 or more at the event will receive a leather pen sheath made with US Exclusive Shiranami leather. Shiranami is a PLOTTER US Exclusive leather developed for the Japan Blue Project, paying homage to the history of Japanese indigo dye. Enjoy the smooth texture of the Shiranami leather and use it to carry your favorite fountain pen or other writing tools.
PLOTTER Leather Binder Customization Events
The PLOTTER team from Japan will be bringing one of our fans’ favorite events – Live leather binder customization where you can mix and match your favorite leather and backplate to assemble a unique PLOTTER. This experience will be available at the California Pen Show Pop-up from 2/16 – 2/18, and at FLAX Pen to Paper on 2/19.
You can choose from a lineup of leathers unique to the event such as Scratch Shoulder (Grey, Blue, Orange, and Purple) and Chromexcel® (Brown, Natural). Then you can select a preferred backplate color (Gold, Rose Gold, Black, or Silver) to have the PLOTTER team assemble it in person. You can learn more about the characteristics of the leather here.
All the leather types are limited in quantities, and the combinations are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Each day of the event, customers can preview the leather and choose their favorite expression and backplate combination. Reservations for appointments on 2/16 are fully booked. From 2/17 – 2/18, we will have signup sheets available at the table on a first come first served basis.

*Due to limited availability, customers are limited to two customized leather binders per person (1 binder for each appointment time slot), subject to change based on sales availability. If you are too late to the appointment timeslot, we may forfeit your spot to the next customer.
A special corner hardware customization event will be introduced at PLOTTER USA. Embellish your PLOTTER with corner hardware in four colors: matte gold, pink gold, matte silver, and matte black. This event will be available for a fee ($16, excluding tax) for a set of four corner parts. This customization will be available for customers on a first come first served basis at the PLOTTER table from 2/16 – 2/18, while supplies last.
*Please note that only the Shrink leather series is not eligible for this service. Due to the limited quantity of hardware, each customer can customize up to 2 leather binders, maximum.
