The case body is made of Ultrasuede®, a high-quality suede-like material made from synthetic and plant-derived materials. The material is durable and soft and envelopes the PLOTTER Leather Binder securely. On the exterior, a leather pocket using PLOTTER’s original Horse Hair II creates a sense of added luxury. It is a sleeve for your phone, small accessories, and a pen holder for your favorite writing instrument. The scratched leather surface of Horsehair II holds a sense of contrast with the smooth suede-like texture of the case.
The case can be carried on its own, or used as a bag-in-bag when you are on the go. Each case fits an A5 Size Leather Binder with room for extra Refill Memo Pads.

Ultrasuede® material as a base
We sourced special material from TORAY corporation based in Tokyo – “innovation by chemistry” is their motto. Ultrasuede® mimics the charming characteristics and texture of suede leather but is made with a combination of synthetic and plant-derived recycled materials. It features excellent durability, moderate breathability, and moisture permeability, and is lightweight compared to real suede. The lightweight material didn’t feel stuffy to the touch.

Horse Hair II leather accents
Horse Hair II leather is a revived series from 2017, featuring a hand-scratched expression that mimics horsehair on vegetable-tanned leather, processed in Himeji. Unlike uniform embossing, each horsehair mark shows a different expression, and the texture is reminiscent of the scratch process of the popular “Pueblo” series. If you look closely at the leather, it has a velvety expression. The contrast of Horse Hair II’s raised leather texture with smooth Ultrasuede® is the charm of this combination.
