PLOTTER USA team is coming to Chicago this May! Since introducing PLOTTER, a special ring system designed to inspire creativity, in the United States, we’ve made the tour to various pen shows around the country. Meeting fans and new users of PLOTTER is incredibly inspiring, and we are always in awe at the different ways PLOTTERs express their creativity in their fields of work and projects.
Chicago is a vibrant city that nurtured some of the world’s best architects and designers. This late spring, we are excited to visit Chicago for the first time to attend a special Pop-up event at Atlas Stationers and Chicago Pen Show 2023. We’re excited about the inspiration that the city will bring to PLOTTER!
May 3-4th, 2023, Pop-up Event at Atlas Stationers
PLOTTER USA begins its footprint in North America in August 2021, and we are excited to embark on a new journey to extend our offerings through new retail partners this year.
Atlas Stationers, established in 1939, is a family-run stationery store located in the heart of Downtown Chicago. The store started with humble roots in office supplies and evolved into a sophisticated stationery store featuring fine writing instruments, inks, and quality paper products for analog enthusiasts.
PLOTTER will be hosting a special pop-up event at Atlas Stationers from May 3 – 4 to showcase PLOTTER leather binders in our iconic Pueblo line in A5, Bible, and Mini Size. You can consult with the PLOTTER team to learn about the PLOTTER system and understand which size and type of refills most fit your needs.
On Thursday, May 4th, from 10 – 11 AM, PLOTTER will be hosting a special talk to introduce the concept of System Techo and how you can make the best use of PLOTTER. Limited seats are available but you can reserve your seat here.

Chicago Pen Show brings together hundreds of users and collectors of fountain pens, inks, paper, and other writing instruments together in the Midwest region each year. PLOTTER will be exhibiting at the Chicago Pen Show from Friday until Sunday, May 5th – 7th.
At the event, we hope that visitors will be able to directly touch and feel the tools produced by PLOTTER. You can see and experience different PLOTTER samples and imagine how they can be used for your lifestyle. PLOTTER Leather Binder Customization Event
The PLOTTER team will be bringing one of our fans’ favorite events in Japan – Live leather binder customization where you can choose and combine your favorite leather and backplate to assemble a unique PLOTTER. This experience will be available at the Atlas Stationers Pop-up event on May 3rd and Chicago Pen Show from May 5th-7th.
You can choose from a lineup of leathers unique to the event such as Pull-up leather (Brown, Green, Yellow, Wine, Turquoise, and Gray) and Bridle leather (Red, Navy). Then you can select a preferred backplate color (Gold, Rose Gold, Black, or Silver) to have the PLOTTER team assemble it live before your eyes.
Introducing four new Event-Limited Pull Up colors for the leather customization event: Yellow, Wine, Turquoise, and Gray
Event-Limited Bridle leather features a waxy exterior that blooms and recedes depending on the external temperature. This leather comes from Thomas Ware and Sons Ltd, a very long-established tannery established in 1840 in Bristol, England. The company’s bridle leather is waxed on the front and back of each piece of leather by hand, and the wax is soaked into the leather for more than 10 weeks. The wax soaked into the leather makes it more robust, and the wax on the surface also makes it water-repellent.
We are also introducing a new Event-Limited leather type that pays homage to a Chicago locale – Chromexcel® leather by Horween Leather Company, one of the best producers of handmade premium leathers. Chromexcel® is an iconic leather by Horween known for its texture and rich color and is utilized in superiorly made boots and other leather goods. This combination-tanned leather undergoes an extensive tanning process and ages beautifully. This will be available to choose from and customize in A5 Size and Bible size in Burgundy and Black colors.
The lush hue that surfaces on the leather when you handle it is one of its appeals.
All the leather types are limited in quantities, and the combinations are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. For this special event, each Leather Binder combo comes with a free ring-supporter in the corresponding leather and *color chosen!
Each day of the event, customers can preview the leather and choose their favorite expression and backplate combination. Before the event, an online appointment* calendar will be open for the customer to book a time to ensure their place in the queue. Throughout the rest of the day, you can watch how the leather binders are assembled at the PLOTTER booth. Perhaps you can even view yours assembled before your eyes.

You have 6 minutes in this appointment to preview the full collection and choose a leather color in your desired size as well as the backplate color. Payment will be collected at the end of the appointment, and you will be given a pickup time to watch it be assembled, and collect the leather binder on the same day.
Untaken spots will be available for walk-ins on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limited quantity available for each day. Since there is a limited amount of each color, leather type, and size, we suggest booking earlier spots to ensure you have the most options to choose from.

PLOTTER Leather Painting Personalization Event
A special personalization activity to add your initials to PLOTTER, customized one-by-one during the event. The craftsman will hand paint your initials with an original font by PLOTTER at the preferred location of your leather binder.
You can customize a new PLOTTER or bring your existing PLOTTER leather binder for this special event. This will be available on May 3rd at Atlas Stationers Pop Up and from May 5th – 7th at the Chicago Pen Show.
PLOTTER Personalization Event – $25 per leather binder for up to two alphabets/numerical characters. You can purchase a PLOTTER Leather binder on location or bring your PLOTTER to be customized.

May 3rd, 2023 – 6:30 PM Pizza Night with PLOTTER Team
Join PLOTTER team in Chicago for a deep-dish pizza dinner at the famous Lou Malnati’s Gold Coast location. We will be reserving a dinner event for attendees to enjoy delicious pizza and fun conversations with the PLOTTER team. Your reservation will include the dinner cover of $35+tax per person.
